Buzzing Into Early Coding With Bee Bots- Part 1

Help me give my students Bee Bots to help with learning coding skills and a rechargeable station to make storage and charging easier.

My Project

By introducing Bee-Bots, a programmable robot, into kindergarten and first-grade classrooms, I want to provide a strong foundation in coding skills and computational thinking through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Bee-Bots are colorful, bee-shaped robots designed for young children.

My students will be able to program the Bee-Bot by pressing directional buttons (forward, backward, left, right) on its back, sending it on a journey across a grid map. This simple interface allows even pre-readers to grasp basic programming concepts and develop essential skills in computational thinking, problem-solving, spatial reasoning, collaboration and communication. Also, a charging and storage station will ensure the Bee-Bots are always ready for use and provides organized storage, maximizing their lifespan and accessibility for my students.

I strongly believe that this project will provide my kindergarten and first-grade students with a valuable head start in STEM education. By introducing them to the exciting world of robotics through Bee-Bots, I can foster a love of learning and equip them with essential skills for the 21st century.
