Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are predominantly Hispanic and African American. I have a classroom full of energetic six years old who are ready to learn. No matter my students' background, we are one when we are in my classroom. My students are buzzing little first graders. They are in the beginning stages of writing and reading. I am here to facilitate active learning in an enriching environment. I hope to see them shine and grow as we continue to learn together. They will appreciate everything that is donated to our classroom.
My Project
This iPad will make a difference in my student's lives because it will make learning fun. They will be able to use the iPad during independent learning. Students need something that will capture their attention while they are working independently. Kids love iPads, and technology is playing a big role in the way they learn new information.
I can have the iPad be a center during our rotations.
The students will be able to access educational games. They will be able to learn the material in a different way. Once we get back to whole group, I can test how what the students learned during centers.
The students can use the iPad when we do research projects. Some students will be able to use the computers, and one group can use the iPad. This will get the students eager to look for information during that time.
