My Students

Kindergarten is the time to create, investigate and make! My students are wildly imaginative, brilliantly creative and full of giggles! They come from one of the toughest neighborhoods in the city of Chicago but it certainly doesn't stop them from being excited about school, every day! It's one of the happiest years in early childhood because they are at the age of exploring and are just stepping into the big world of education. They see the world through these fabulously fun glasses of endless possibilities that spreads into our hearts as teachers and adults. It's a positive and constant reminder of how fun it was to be five!

My students are a terrific bunch of kids full of excitement and who have an epic hunger for learning!

They are always asking new questions and are curious about anything new they discover. My students are this incredible bunch of diverse learners. We have students of all abilities and I am always so proud and impressed by the level of love and compassion my students share for one another. We are a true community of little learners who are always eager to try something new and help each other learn and grow!

My Project

Young learners need to have an availability to many different kinds of supplies and materials in order to meet their many different learning styles. Students need to have the time to create, make and tinker with different supplies in order to create a solid foundation for their learning and cognitive processes. When you have access to more materials your brain has the opportunity to creatively process different ideas and form new ways of thinking.

With this wonderful selection of materials my students will be able to engage in more STEAM practices and build the bridges of knowledge across multiple subjects.

Glue sticks are the foundation to any primary classroom. We are constantly using our fine motor skills to cut and glue for different projects. We can never have too many glues sticks! The bright paper and construction paper crayons will bring a new and improved light to making and creating art projects. Even being able to send home a colorful newsletter will bring some joy to the little things. All in all, these materials will add a great deal of joy and excitement to my students school experience and make their learning more bright and fun!
