Help me provide my students with buttons for brags!
These buttons are personal, special, and help kids feel noteworthy as a reminder of their successes and wins!
In my classroom, we set goals for almost everything... words read correctly per minute, math facts answered accurately, writing clubs, character traits, and more! I was shocked recently when I saw how excited kids got with a simple button that said "I met my goal" and want to use that excitement to motivate them further. This project would be a tool that could be used this year, next year, and YEARS to come for countless children.
These buttons serve as an incentive for a celebration without the trash of plastic wrapping, junk that will be fun for a minute then thrown in a trash bag to sit in a landfill, etc. This is the only world we have so as I want to celebrate and encourage greatness, I want to limit the amount of trash we create
