Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our High School is a brand new high school that has incubated in a middle school building our first year. Next year we will move into our new building, but we are starting from scratch.
Bright, talented and athletic students took the leap of faith to join our school and became its founding class.
Due to our location, they have had to deal with less than other schools while simultaneously learning what others do not learn about the film industry. Student Government delegates want to change the dynamics next year.
Next year Student Government wants to hit the ground running with tools to make campaigns and events happen. We are starting with a button maker and supplies! We will finalize our SGO in the fall and host awareness and celebratory events during the year where the student body can make their own buttons for Hispanic Heritage Month, National Coming out Day, Black History Month, Poetry Month, Women's History Month, Mental Health Awareness month and more!
