Butterfly Preschool 2023 Social Emotional Learning

My Project

Our preschoolers are some of the children who went through Covid at home and this is several of our students first time away from their families. Bridging the fundamentals of social emotional learning along with the preschool curriculum is crucial and we want to ensure that all of our students are safe and loved and receiving the best educational possible. The materials we chose will help bridge the children in both social emotional and sensory integration by allowing them all to explore various different aspects of learning. Children love the light table because they don't usually have this at home. It also expands their learning with hands on and sensory. We chose several items because it will help create a bridge between home and school. A puppet theater will allow the children to expand their feelings through the puppets. Science is a huge opportunity for children to explore areas of growth int eh world and learn differently then they would at home. Based on Covid and home learning, we need all the extra support and funding possible. We are so excited to give our young learners the foundation of love to learn and give our school new resources to engage learning.
