My students need a life cycles center that will include a butterfly nursery, a see it grow plant lab, exploring life processes paperback series, and various art supplies.
Take care of the world, and it will take care of you. My students need to learn to love, respect, and nurture real plants and animals in the classroom. If they learn a little science along the way... that's great!
My students live in Florida so they are nature lovers at heart.
They are kind, caring, and appreciative of any hands on learning they are allowed to participate in. I would love for them to raise butterflies and release them to watch the life cycle in motion.
My Project
We will raise butterflies, grow plants, and create spring time artwork based upon the life cycles we witness. I hope to purchase a butterfly nursery, see it grow plant labs, and non-fiction leveled readers based on animal life cycles. The children are already amazed and inspired by nature, and I hope to foster in them both creativity and respect for the natural world around them. Caring for nature seems to have a trickle effect into caring for their classmates and their community.
My students, with your help, can get closer to nature and closer to caring about the natural world around them.
