Butterflies and Fairy Gardens

Help me give my students live caterpillars to watch grow and materials to make fairy gardens to take home.

My Project

Each year my students experience the life cycle of Painted Lady Butterflies in our school. They start off with a lesson and fun craft about the butterfly life cycle during STEM, and then each class takes back a cup of live Painted Lady caterpillars to observe as they eat, grow, and transform into beautiful butterflies.

This project will provide enough caterpillars for each of our elementary classrooms to experience the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly.

We will add to the project with creating a small fairy garden out of salad containers, white clover seed, and small figurines.
