This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our beautiful school library serves two high schools and one middle school, and is one of the most frequently visited spaces in the building. In addition to great books, we have crafts and building sets that students love. They love them so much, that they go through them at an astonishing rate and are always asking when we will get more Lego sets, more beads for making bracelets, and when it will be their turn to use the SLR camera.
If we don't want students to be stuck to their phone screens, it's essential to give them enriching activities.
The library is brimming with things to do. This fundraiser will help us replenish our store of bracelet-making supplies and long-awaited Lego sets that foster critical thinking, STEM skills, and collaboration. I am also adding a mini photo printer so we can instantly print photos of the amazing memories we're making in the library. Students have been taking turns flexing their photography skills, and this will be an amazing reward. Thank you for considering making a contribution to help us keep making library magic!
