My Students

I have the greatest job in the world because I get to work in Early Intervention. My students are between 3 and 5 years of age and have all exhibited some form of a developmental delay. In addition to our program some children receive speech, occupational, or physical therapy to further close in the gap. They all learn differently and need support, encouragement, and love to prepare for Kindergarten.

These babies love learning!

They are some of the happiest children I have met. They are eager to come to school and almost race off the bus every morning to start their day. Their smiles are my joy.

My Project

My students require hands on learning through play to promote not only a love of learning, but a love for themselves. Children with developmental delays learn differently than typically developing children. I want to close that gap!

By donating you will help to give my students the tools needed to improve their fine motor skills and instill confidence in their abilities.

I want to challenge my students to achieve every goal and overcome every obstacle. Using these supplies, my students will be able to practice daily on fine motor skills, such as buttoning, snapping, completing a puzzle, and sorting objects.

By the end of this school year, with the use of these supplies, I believe my class will be able to write their first name without a model!
