My Students

Sitting still is hard to do when you are four. We need to move and be active learners.

I teach the forty youngest learners in our school.

My students travel from across our great district to attend Pre-K each day. Money is tighter this year than ever before, because of the impact the terrible May tornado's had on our large school district. Our school escaped major damage, but is still feeling the effects of the storm.

My Project

The movement stools will be an amazing addition to a Pre-K classroom where movement and learning go hand in hand. The students can use these stools to sit and experience movement at the same time. I often have students who are on the autism spectrum and these would be perfect for them. The hands on materials such as the alphabet and shape manipulative are something every four year old needs to help in the learning process, they learn best with a multi-sensory approach. We love technology in our classroom but we need our computers to have a mouse that is the appropriate size for small hands.

Everyday I go to school and live the motto "every child, every day, whatever it takes" and you can help make a difference in their lives as well.

Together we can give these children all the learning opportunities they deserve.
