Meet the wonderful scholars in this 1st grade class! With 25 boys in a class (the school we attend is an all-boys school), each student brings so much excitement to the learning environment of our classroom. We encourage our students to learn through discovery, hands-on application of knowledge, discussions, and movement activities. Our students enjoy activities where they can go home and teach their families what they learned in school. A classroom full of boys can be a handful (I say this with lots of love), but the boys bring a high level of engagement and creative perspectives to each and every lesson. Within this group of students, there are a handful of boys with special needs, which contributes to the wonderful diversity within the classroom.
My Project
Winter in New York can be tough, especially for those who don't have access to warm hats, gloves, or scarves. Students who lack these necessities in the cold winter months, and who worry about their own personal care, usually find it hard to focus on their school work.
By donating to this project, you will be helping students in need by ensuring they have the proper winter clothing to keep them warm during the cold days.
Hats, gloves, and scarves will be donated to those who do not have these necessities. This will, in turn, help our students to be more successful in the classroom because they will have one less thing to worry about.
