This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students consist of a wide range of personalities that all have one thing in common, the eagerness to grow as students. With your support of my project, I will be able to provide my students with resources for success and to be physically active.
My goal is to help students find a lifelong physical activity they can enjoy.
My students will work hard to get smart, have fun, and will be college ready! They are researchers, mathematicians, scientists, authors, historians, etc. My students are the future of El Paso and members of our future society. Every day, they come ready to refine their motor skills and eager to learn about their body.
My Project
My 7th and 8th graders love volleyball. Every year they're very excited to get the season started. They're eager for practices and game days. I truly have the best group ever! Sadly the season was cut short due to covid, but we are being positive because there's always next year. Volleyball is a way for my students to show skills that may not precisely show on paper. As the famous line goes "Actions speak louder than words."
It's exciting to see a group of young women do something that they love to do.
I am asking for this equipment because this will help for years to come. I am asking for these resistance bands to improve their arm speed. This will be huge for their development! My volleyball girls deserve so much and I would love to give them the proper equipment they need.
