it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Title I public charter school that primarily serves a lower socioeconomic population with a lot of English Language Learners. There are many more difficulties a majority of our students experience on a day-to-day basis than in some other schools.
Our school's mission is to create students who will be college and career ready with cross-cultural competence when they leave here.
For many students, they will be the first generation in their family to go to college.
My Project
This year, my school is planning to offer boys volleyball. The kids are very excited about it and ask me almost every day when tryouts will be.
I'm looking to get us prepared for our new team by securing some equipment.
With this being a new team, we don't have any equipment stored or saved up. I'm hoping to impress the kids when they show up the first day by having some great training equipment waiting for them.
