My Students
My students are amazing! Our school is located in a rural part of central California in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. We love our community and the natural resources we have in our area.
Many of my students come from middle to low-income families.
My students come to school every day excited to learn something new and ready to take on a new challenge. While our students have many obstacles in their lives, they persevere and succeed.
My Project
Sports and school go together like peanut butter and jelly. All students should have the opportunity to participate on their school team if so desired. This is especially true at the elementary level.
Some students are motivated to do well in school so they can play on their school team.
I am helping to coach volleyball this year at our school. I am requesting a cart, which will be used in practices and in games, and a new game ball. The volleyball cart will hold the balls while not in play and the game ball will only be used for gameplay so we have a high-quality ball to play with during matches against other schools.
