My Students
Have you ever been bullied? Think of the tremendous stress, fear, and damage it did to your self-esteem. Everyone has the right to attended school free of bullies. But let's face it. Bullying is a problem in many schools. It's something that we must address and teach in all schools.
My students attend school in a very poor section of town.
There school is nestled among factories, train tracks, and a soup kitchen. Poverty prevails and is up and center. Gang violence is an everyday thing and for many of my students its the norm. They all qualify for free federal lunches. Many students spend countless hours at school weekly from 6 am to 6 pm. They live in deplorable conditions and yet they come to school with hopes and aspirations to learn and become the best students they can be. My students are amazing sweet and giving.
My Project
Bullying in Schools will help me teach students what to do in different situations where bullying occurs. It will also help build character education and promote a safe learning environment. In addition, Bully-Proof Your Classroom Teaching Kit, will help students by giving different scenarios where students can role play and seek appropriate attention to bullying in the classroom and on the yard. Also literature like Don't be a Bully, Billy will help illustrate that bullying can happen to anyone and what to and where to seek help.
Please help my students attend school in a bully free zone where are they need to worry about is learning.
Everyone deserves to feel safe at school. Please help my students by providing them with the right tools and skills to nip bullying in the bud. Together we can create a peaceful learning environment in all schools regardless of zip code.
