Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"To go against the dominant thinking of your friends, of most of the people you see every day, is perhaps the most difficult act of heroism you can perform," said Theodore H. White. This statement is so powerful because you know right from wrong and should take a stand for what you believe is right.

My students are smart, driven, and very verbal.

They are 95% Hispanic and 5% African American. Most of them do not have a computer or other technology at home. Our school provides a safe environment away from gangs and other socioeconomic limitations. They are exposed to violence and socioeconomic limitations, like lack of food, that others take for granted. In my classroom, they get to dream, the sky is the limit. They've planned future traveling plans, designed their dream homes, and have become celebrated community heroes. The classroom is a safe haven where dreaming high is encouraged. Nothing is impossible when they dream, write, and share their future plans. They would thrive as enthusiastic learners if they are provided with the memories that will last a lifetime. They will experience and recollect their memories in a whole new way.

My Project

Bullying is a social as well as a mental disease plaguing our schools and children. Our school will start an anti-bullying school wide campaign. I want my students to research, watch videos, learn cooping strategies, and write about what bullying does to a child. With the resources and the tablet, they will write slogans, essays, & make banners for our anti-bullying campaign. We need to make our anti-bullying campaign come to life, so that my students can present their project to the whole school. My students can search for slogan, pictures, look for ideas for banners and posters on line with the help of the Samsung Tablet. They will also write essays, and make a power point presentation with audio and great visuals for their peers. We will make posters and banners to place all around our schools. They will write skits and compelling essays to persuade students that bullying is unacceptable and must be stopped. I need your help to fund this Character Building Project

I need your help to help me fund the books, Bully-Proof Kit, and Samsung Tablet which is a resource that with no doubt will enhance my students' research methods.

They will have countless access to activities, ideas, slogans, videos, pictures, and other resources that can contribute to a well planned anti-bullying campaign. Please help us be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
