My Students
Julius Caesar was said to have spoken the words, "It is better to create than to learn. Creating is the essence of life." I love seeing the creations my students make. My favorites are those that capture the essence of learning objectives in powerful, visual displays.
In a rural school district outside of a major metropolitan area, my students range from middle class students to migrant workers to children of local farmers.
Many students struggle to afford basic school supplies but still can benefit from the construction of educational visuals. That's why this project will be so helpful. It will benefit hundreds of students by supplying them with something invaluable: great examples of great work.
My Project
The bulletin board I am requesting will continue to benefit students for years to come. It is a place reserved for students to display the work they have created, a place for work that exceeds the average and can stand as an example for other students to learn from. It will be a point of pride and a place of growth.
It has been said that a rising tide raises all boats.
By displaying quality work, the level of excellence will raise. Research has shown time and again that providing good examples helps raise achievement. The bulletin board will do just that.
