Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school that I am teaching at is an urban school in Connecticut I could have up to 24 beautiful kindergarten students.

Kindergarten children are kind and innocent who want to learn.

These little children are very active and fun loving with open hearts and minds for learning.

However, we are in a 100% free breakfast and lunch with many school and district extreme budget issues. One of the budget cuts in our district was our Kindergarten classroom paraprofessional. This is a huge disservice for our kindergarteners.

My Project

My kindergarten students love to work with Legos. If given a container of Legos, my students get so excited to work with their buddy and I love to observe the conversations that go on between these children. They will be able to use all the different shapes to put together something creative. They would use these Legos with math, science and all activities that we do in class. By having these Legos at their fingertips this can help them achieve their goals and make them feel proud of the work that they have completed. Donations of these legos will make my students so excited and motivated to learn.

By having Legos that are engaging to my kindergarten students will help pique their interest in learning.

They will also want to take care of them so that they can continue to work with these Legos during our center time.

I know that if given these items my students will appreciate what they have and take pride in all that they produce in the classroom. Please help my students flourish with these gifts. Thanks for your support.
