My Project
Our classroom is a K-5 life skills space where every student has unique abilities, strengths, and communication needs. Many of my students are nonverbal or have limited verbal communication, so we rely on communication buttons to help them express themselves — whether it’s asking for help, making a choice, or joining in classroom activities.
We’re requesting communication buttons to expand our set, allowing each student to have personalized tools that give them a voice.
To create durable, hands-on visuals, schedules, and communication supports, we need laminating pouches. Laminated materials last so much longer and hold up to frequent use, especially when little hands are involved!
Finally, we need a hot glue gun to make sure adaptive materials, sensory tools, and classroom visuals are securely put together. Whether we’re building tactile choice boards or fixing adapted items, this tool helps us keep the classroom running smoothly.
