English Learners often come to school with a limited English vocabulary. Because of this, students need to work on building their social and academic vocabulary. Just think about how many English words students need to learn if they are new to our country.
The Smartcan Talking cards is a useful tool that allows students to see and hear the words that they are learning so that they can practice independently.
The students can insert a card into the machine's slot and they can hear the word or sound. This will help students build vocabulary if they are unfamiliar with the words.
