This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I opened my room for an E-sports lunchtime club. In the beginning, I was hoping to get at least 4-8 students but it exploded into a classroom full of students. The club is full every day to the point we started branching out to other platforms, PC/Macbook games, online and hopefully a permanent switch (ours is on loan to us) with a larger variety of games.

There are many benefits to having esports at school as esports embraces students' passion for competitive gaming to foster collaboration, creativity, and inclusion, and participants build strengths in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.

This project is geared towards adding a permanent Nintendo Switch to our club as well as multiplayer games so that more students will have the opportunity to play (right now we only have 1 game). I have also included some necessary accessories protective controllers and a case as middle schoolers are not always gentle with equipment. Also included are some accessories for our Esports computer so that it can be used more effectively for our club.
