My Students
As a teacher in a special education self-contained classroom in a low-income school district, my students are faced with challenges inside and outside of the classroom. Despite the many challenges that my students are facing, I am looking to provide them with a fun, interactive, and meaningful learning environment.
My students have a multitude of needs including physical, cognitive, medical, fine motor, sensory, and communication.
They love learning through a multitude of different means such as sensory activities. They learn best though creative and sensory activities.
My Project
My students love to build with LEGO, duplo blocks, and wooden blocks. The Jumbo Blocks will help them build on a larger scale that they have not been able to before. They will be able to build castles, chairs, skyscrapers and more. This will be able to teach them about being a builder and architect. They will be able to do math and science activities with these blocks. The two ball bins will be used to store all of the blocks.
Blocks can help the students learn multiple concepts.
The blocks will be used by the students on a daily basis.
