My Project

The use of whiteboards is critical to collaboration in my classroom, especially in Social Studies. Using the Building Thinking Classrooms model, students come to the whiteboards to record collaborative responses. Students are randomly paired up, with one student being the "inker" and one being the "thinker". This ensures that every single student in the class has a purpose and accountability to the discussion. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work.
