Building Thinking Classrooms

My Project

BTC is a strategy to get kids up, moving, and thinking critically about math. I would like to get 5 rolling whiteboards. The boards will be used by pairs of children working together to work out math problems on the vertical surface. The students work out math problems that are verbally given to them. They will learn how to take turns, think, and share, all under the guise of math tasks.

My goal for this project is for the students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers.

To find joy in math and math activities. To be able to work well with others and take turns.

What makes my students special is that they are tiny humans who deserve the best that anyone can give them. We are a Title I school and many of the kids come from a disadvantaged home. I want to provide a variety of activities for them so I can meet the needs of all students.
