This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I just finished my last year as a kindergarten teacher; I am moving to a new classroom, and I am very fortunate to loop to first grade with all my students. Before the end of the school year, I asked my students what we would need in our new classroom.
They all agreed that we need better containers for our library books.
Keeping our library well organized help the students to access and store their books quickly. I know from experience that students find enjoyment when they love their space and environment. My students love to read, and I want to create a library they love and are proud of.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
