My Students

I teach in an awesome Title 1 PreK - 8 school nestled in one of Philadelphia's best community neighborhoods. My students come from all over the city and all walks of life. They are very energetic and so excited to do for others! They are always trying to help other persons in need and now is our chance to make school special for them!

Let's help these awesome students stay fit and healthy while enjoying learning!

They not only learn from me, but I learn so much from them!

My Project

My students need flexible seating to make their day more enjoyable and effective. When the students are comfortable, they work harder! My students are always asking to stand while they work, or sit on their legs, or they ask to sit on the rug, and/or sit on their sweaters. The stability balls will give the students some flexible seating. The seats will be excellent in helping the students to build their core. They will also enjoy the comfort of the seats!

The students will be able to use the flexible seating to work with the math manipulatives!

My students are always asking for more math manipulatives! They absolutely love being able to explore math through the use of manipulatives! They enjoy the hands on experience and they learn way more than they know they do!

Mathematics is all about exploring. Students excel in math when they have ways to help themselves figure out a math problem. The Manipulative Kit will assist the students in finding alternative ways to solve problems and it will also help students who struggle without a visual representation. I love using manipulatives as a way to differentiate the instruction for those who are above, on or below level. Manipulatives also give students a way to solve and feel confident in their math skills! Thank you for helping me provide the students with what they need to be successful!
