This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are working on building sustainable homes and learning to be self sufficient! We have been watching homes being built with a very large 3D printer and cement and I was trying to explain how where it might take one type of job away it creates other jobs, such as programing the 3D printer and designing the house. They Thought The laser printer was a 3D printer, so I was explaining to them the difference and then said well lets see if we can get a small one to try out in class and build the houses you design!

I choose the AOSEED X-Maker 3D Printer for Kids and Beginners that is fully assembled as I feel it will be easy enough for us to use!

This will allow students to take the designs they are creating in TinkerCad and actually print them! I also included lots of beads since the giant bead bracelets are all the rage here. How do they fit in you might ask! Well I explained that I can order some filament but we will have to order more as we print things and we decided that we can make the bracelets to sell to help us by more filament! We discussed once are have mastered the 3D printer we can make things to sell in addition to bracelets but this was the idea they came up with so I am following their wishes!
