My Project
My kindergarten students come to school every day excited and ready to learn. They are energetic, curious, and full of potential. Many are still developing the fine motor and early literacy skills they need to become confident readers and writers, and I want to give them the best possible start.
I am requesting handwriting practice books and coloring books to help my students strengthen their fine motor skills.
These resources will support proper pencil grip, hand-eye coordination, and early writing development. Coloring gives them fun, focused practice in control and precision, while handwriting books provide structure and routine for forming letters and words.
I am also requesting copy paper so I can print individual, age-appropriate decodable books. These little books are essential for building foundational reading skills. They allow students to apply phonics knowledge in a meaningful, engaging way—boosting their confidence and helping them become successful readers.
With these resources, my students will gain the tools they need to succeed in both writing and reading. Fine motor strength supports everything from drawing to writing their names, and decodable books build strong literacy habits early.
