My Students

I have the great pleasure of teaching the sweetest 3rd graders! A typical day in our 3rd grade classroom looks very different than it did before the pandemic and I strive to provide students with a comfortable learning space. My students are 8 years old and they are naturally curious learners. They learn best through movement and play activities that keep them engaged.

My students are energetic learners that love school!

They want to learn about the world around them. They are just starting their journey to become lifelong learners and I am looking to make this experience as memorable for them as possible!

My Project

I will be teaching 3rd grade for the first time and have been searching for rich reading materials to help bridge the gap from remote learning. Next year I will be using Rooted in Reading which is a unit full of high level pictures books, vocabulary and grammar. With your help, I would like to obtain my own class copy of the books needed for Rooted in Reading.

I want to foster a love of learning through engaging reading lessons.

Many students will be returning to classrooms after being remote for over a year and I want to be prepared to help them become lifelong learners.
