Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, enthusiastic early learners who are building the foundation for a lifetime of reading and writing. To support their growth, I’m requesting literacy centers and a Giant Magnetic Draw and Write Page that will bring hands-on, engaging learning experiences to our classroom.
The literacy centers will allow students to work in small groups on targeted skills like letter recognition, phonics, sight words, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
These centers promote independence, collaboration, and focused practice—helping each student grow at their own pace while I work with small groups for personalized instruction.
The Giant Magnetic Draw and Write Page will be a powerful visual tool for whole-group lessons. It allows me to model writing, sentence structure, and phonics patterns in an interactive way, and students will also get to use it for practicing their own writing and sharing their work with the class. It makes learning visual, tactile, and fun, which is especially important for young learners.
With these resources, my students will become more confident, capable readers and writers. Your support will help create a classroom where literacy is active, exciting, and accessible to all.
