Building Social/Emotional Well Being

My Project

I am a school counselor in a rural Title I school. I work with PreK through second grade, meeting with students individually, in small groups, and through classroom lessons. I try to keep the information fun and exciting. I have some Legos in my room but they are from specific kits that have been broken apart.

Many of my students ask to play with Legos, then quickly get discouraged with them because they aren't just generic Legos.

I am asking for generic Legos, so that my students can use their imagination to build. I am asking for the books so I can better guide their building/play experience to focus on their social/emotional wellbeing. I also hope that the students will learn team building skills through their play experience.
