My kids are determined, bright, and resilient. They face challenges head on and never ever give up. As the School Social Worker, I often see kids across all grade levels PK-4th. Students often visit my office to work on utilizing positive social skills in the classroom. They work on lessons surrounding friendship skills, positive anger control, and making and keeping friends.
Funding this project will allow them to increase their social emotional skills, build friendships, and set them up for success later on in life beyond the classroom!
My Project
This project is focused around making sure my students have the materials they need to complete social emotional skill streaming lessons. Students will use the whiteboards, markers, and pencils to complete lessons focused around respect for others, friendship. art therapy, and positive conflict resolution. Students will use the supplies to enhance their knowledge about not only being good to each other, but being good citizens both in and out of our school community.
Character education lessons are so important for young children as they continue to build on the skill sets they already have.
My goal is to help them become respectful, responsible, caring members of society, and your donations will help us achieve that!
