My Project
Students at our school are challenged by emotional disturbances, autism, learning disables, trauma, and poverty. Each day they come to school to learn and grow academically, behaviorally, and socially.
Group games are great opportunities for students to integrate academic skills with social skills they are working to develop.
Games engage students in learning while helping students gain patience, cooperation, impulse control, strategizing skills, manners, sportsmanship and a growth mindset.
In my years teaching, I have seen the transformative power of games to bring out beautiful qualities in students while cultivating numerous teachable moments that have lasting impacts.
