Building Social-Emotional Skills Through Board Games
Help me give my students an opportunity to practice the social skills they desperately need that will in turn transfer to their work, home, and community life through board games.

My Project
I teach 18 precious third graders in a low-income area. I love watching these students learn, grow, and interact with each other. I would love to be able to give these students a board game for Christmas.
There are several families in the community that can't afford Christmas gifts for their children.
Giving the students a board game, will help build community in their home and in the classroom. Board games also help children learn important social skills such as waiting, turn-taking, sharing, how to cope with losing, making conversation, problem-solving, compromising, collaborating, and being flexible. Students will be able to learn how to appropriately interact with each other.
More than half of students from low‑income households
