My Students
These students are like my children. I work with several of the same students year after year. I am looking to provide them with the most opportunities available while learning English. My students come from families with many children. They come from families who struggle to make ends meet but want the best for their children. They are refugees; they are children; they come from families and teachers who love them. Every year, these students work hard to learn a new language while trying to keep up in a classroom of their English speaking peers.
A global classroom is created with the students who support each other on their journey to become bilingual.
In my ESL classroom, I work with students of many cultures and countries, including China, Afghanistan, Yemen, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Yemen, Pakistan, and more. Some of my K-5 students are struggling to learn English and are up against the additional challenge of a learning disability. While other students are fighting to learn English despite having been top students in their home countries. Each student is special and deserves a great start at school.
My Project
Students will be able to create science projects doing their own research. They will search for articles, pictures, & videos for educational exploration.
English Language Learners will become creative and innovative learners through technology learning Science, Math, English, and much much more with a Chromebook and printer!
Students can showcase their work in color with visuals that they are proud of and catch the eyes of their parents and classroom teachers. They will learn a new language with the use of relevant and colorful pictures or videos and see colorful examples in order to understand new concepts that represent their cultures. We will work together to build scientific learners prepared for the 21st century.
