My Students
My students love to learn. They like to participate in a variety of learning opportunities. Our school is classified as Title I and we celebrate our students and their diverse backgrounds.
The students like to socialize and collaborate while working on their projects and assignments.
They enjoy learning from each other and draw from each others strengths and support each other when another needs help with a concept or skill. Students can learn from each other as they explore scientific topics.
My Project
My sixth-grade students need concrete examples to see how scientific principles work. Some concepts are abstract in nature and students need activities to help them see how processes work. The Science with Engineering standards help them observe phenomena, generate questions, and discover answers that build their scientific knowledge.
Providing hands on experiences that model what is happening in earth processes helps build foundational knowledge that can be applied as they study deeper into these topics.
The kits and density tank will provide many hands-on experiences to build knowledge and concretely show what happens in the atmosphere that influences weather patterns.
