This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Returning from remote and hybrid learning, we noticed that our students struggled to build positive peer relationships. While all of our students desire peer connections, they lost out on time and social skill building during the pandemic. 25-30% of our incoming 7th graders are new to our school within the last year.
Help fill our 7th-grade classrooms with games that students can use to build pro-social behaviors and relationships during homeroom time!
Easy and fun games like Uno, Sorry, and Legos will help students engage with peers away from screens and challenging academic tasks.
Additionally, our students are thirsty throughout the day and our school does not have clean drinking water. Students must leave the classroom to get water from a bubbler. Help us increase bell-to-bell learning for our students by providing them with water bottles and personalized stickers so they can fill up in the morning and after lunch!
