I am requesting a class set of dry erase boards, markers and erasers to support my students during reading, writing and math instruction. These tools will allow my second graders to actively participate, practice skills in read time, and get immediate feedback.
During reading and writing, students will use the boards to break apart words, sound them out, and practice sight words or sentence writing.
In math, they will use the boards to solve problems, show their thinking, and work through new concepts together. These hands-on materials will make our lessons more interactive and engaging across all subjects.
Dry erase boards are simple, effective tools that give every students a voice. Instead of one or two students answering a question aloud, all students can show their thinking at once, helping me quickly check for understanding and adjust my teaching.
