My Students
Passionate learners who are creating their own ways in the world, my students are active and curious, using social media and other digital resources to explore their world and community. They grab the newest books off the library shelves, and they wait with bated breath for the next book in a series.
My students are readers, singers, dancers, artists, computer programmers, and more, but most importantly, they are unique and kind.
We embrace each uniqueness in our library and enjoy watching students interact physically, mentally, and creatively with our space. It is an honor to support them as they grow and learn!
My Project
We are building lifelong readers at our campus, and we would love to add a book vending machine to expand our literacy efforts and to communicate the importance of reading in life.
The book vending machine will give every student the opportunity to choose their very own book to read and add to their home library.
Students check out books from the library and read eBooks online, however, there is something special about having your own book collection at home. We would love to have your help in launching this opportunity for our students.
Each adult on campus will distribute the special tokens used in the book vending machine, thus weaving it into our work developing a positive campus culture. When students receive a token, they will have their own special time at the book vending machine so that their book selection is celebrated.
