This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year more than ever has been a struggle to get my students to fall in love with reading. As a teacher, I am always searching for new and relevant texts my students will enjoy. Many of my kids this year are interested in graphic novels, and I quickly realized that that section in my classroom library was lacking. I want to make sure that I have a loveable book for every child in my room.

With a selection of books that represent children from many walks of life and many countries, I am hoping my students will find connections within these books and learn to love to read.
