Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to provide the students with Math and Language literacy centers and materials where they can enjoy learning and build learning strategies that will help them succeed academically. Math manipulatives will provide the students with firsthand practice with concepts such as counting, hand-eye coordination, tactile development, visual stimulation, pre-writing (fine motor) skills, and sensory exploration. The Literacy centers will also help develop fine motor development while learning early literacy skills. Having these materials in the classroom will help stimulate the student’s curiosity, develop problem-solving and reading/writing strategies.

These math and literacy center activities will help introduce beginning math and literacy skills in a fun, hands-on way.

My student will find out how things work through these engaging, hands-on center activities while working collaboratively with their classmates.
