This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Let creativity rule! Boy, do my students love to build! Let's face it. They love to PLAY! I would love to provide them with building materials and a storage unit to house our expanding collection of educational games and materials.
My students are enthusiastic second graders.
They are eager to learn and excited to share that learning. We are a medium-sized, urban, public school in California. Our students are first and second generation Americans, the children of hard-working parents.
My Project
My students need building manipulatives such as Legos, People Climbers and Magic Building Blocks, plus a storage unit for these and other resources. One of my goals this year is to provide more opportunities for my students to learn through play. Building manipulatives are a great way to achieve this. With Legos, people climbers, and magnetic blocks, my students can let their creativity flow, while building their spatial skills and having FUN!
It's important to create a learning environment that is inviting.
Students' days will be filled with a variety of activities and resources in an organized way that will make it easy for students to learn from these materials. Please help us make our classroom that much better!
