This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In today's busy world, all of our young learners deserve a space where they can take a breather, recharge, and learn important skills for managing their feelings. With your generosity, I'm excited to get a chance to create a cozy corner in our classroom where all my students can unwind and grow.
Life can be hectic for kids too, and they need breaks just like adults do.
The Lakeshore Flex-Space Comfy Classroom Carpet will give them a comfy spot to gather for mindfulness exercises and reading, helping them find calm. Giant Sand Timers will teach time management and focus in a fun way. And our collection of social-emotional books like "World of Kids' Emotions," "Ninja Life Hacks," and "A Little SPOT of Emotion" will be like friends guiding them through their feelings.
We'll also have sensory tools like hand2mind Sensory Fidget Tubes to help manage anxiety and stress. The Calming Corner Classroom Posters will be friendly reminders of strategies to stay calm and happy.
