Building Our Classroom Library

My students need a set of First Little Readers and a Storyteller Read-Along Library to begin reading this school year.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations yet. We are a Kindergarten classroom that needs books to be able to start our love of reading. Our school promotes early literacy.

Early literacy is key for my students.

Learning to read for the first time is fun and I want my students to have the same feeling. My 21 students are inner city students who attend a charter school. Their parents chose a charter school because they wanted a better, quality education in a safe learning environment. They are good, hard working students who just want to do well and be successful.

My Project

My students will be learning to read this school year. These books will be their tool. I have asked for leveled book so my students have books on their reading levels, which will make reading easy and fun for my students. The students will be able to place these books in their book bins for Daily Five time, when they read to self.

Your donations will be helping the leader of tomorrow.

We need to instill that reading is fun and what better way then to show them at an early age. Please support my students who would love to read by the end of the year!
