Building Our Classroom Library and Love For Reading!

My students need new leveled children's books for them to love and enhance their abilities to read books that are just right for them.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations yet. We are a Kindergarten classroom that needs books to be able to start our love of reading. Our school promotes early literacy.

My 30 students are inner city students who attend a public school where funding has been cut significantly.

Their parents chose a public schools because they do not have many options which in turn does not provide the schools with a ton of support. They are good, hard working students who just want to do well and be successful and deserve the world.

My Project

These students will use this books during our new Reading program that we will be enforcing this year called the Daily Five. Part of the program is for the students to read to themselves or read to someone. These books will help provide them the opportunity to read a just right book on their level so that they can expand their vocabulary and love of reading!

Your donations will immensely help improve the lives of my students.

My students will take pride in knowing these books are going to help them learn to read. Your donations will be helping the leader of tomorrow. We need to instill that reading is fun and what better way then to show them at an early age. Please support my students who would love to read by the end of the year!
