Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our second grade class will be starting informational writing soon. We will do several reports together as a class and then students will pick partners. They will choose an animal to study and gather facts/information before working together to write their own reports. After the reports are completed they will create their animal with modeling clay to match their report. Each student will have their report and model clay animal displayed for Open House for all to see. This project involves multiple learning opportunities. The project involves reading, writing, research, typing and art. I'm very excited for this activity.
