Building Minds While Building Structures

Help me give my students the opportunity to use blocks to create structures as they develop concepts of geometry for real world use.

My Project

Students will use these blocks to learn and practice concepts in geometry. They will create structures to determine surface area, area, perimeter, volume and scale model. These life long concepts are most easily applied and retained by using hands on models. This gives them the opportunity to create and learn simultaneously.

Geometry is truly a part of every day life, far beyond school years.

Hands-on learning is crucial for many students to actually "see" how the concepts develop and their retention is much improved as well as their recall of these concepts when hands on learning is their first experience with new learning.
