Building Math and Reading Skills for Students with Disabilities

Help me give my students a diverse books written authors who look like them and stories they can relate to. Also math math games and manipulatives to help my students with disabilities gain math skills.

My Project

I teach students with learning disabilities. Many of them did not participate in the learning environment while schools were digital because they did not understand how to navigate digitally. Many of their parents still had to work and did not feel comfortable with sending them to school because of COVID Therefore, they were not able to continue working on the skills they struggle with. Now, many of them do not like to read or do math because they struggle more as the curriculum is more advance. I'm looking to make math and reading enjoyable for them. I chose math games that I know they would like and will learn from. They will be able to work with partners or groups in which my students love to do. The books I chose provide great stories that my students can relate to and can help build their reading and speaking skills as we will have group discussions.
