Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hands-on manipulatives are powerful tools that help students become better readers by reinforcing the skills that they are learning through multi-sensory learning.
By integrating manipulatives as part of my students' daily instruction, I can provide an interactive, hands-on approach that will strengthen foundational literacy skills and build their reading confidence.
Students will practice key skills necessary for reading and spelling.
The items such as laminating pouches, organizers, and reading manipulatives will allow students to engage in a way that feels more like play than work. With resources created with these items, students will practice reading foundational skills that are essential in the life of scholars. The goal is to close foundational reading skills so students can read about subjects like science and learn about relevant topics.
